Peter Steele, Type O Negative

Yet another musician has now unfortunately left us. Reports say that the metal band Type O Negative‘s frontman Peter Steele has died of heart failure at age 48.

Type O Negative released their debut album Slow Deep and Hard on Road Road Racer records in 1991. The band’s latest release, Dead Again, hit the stores in 2007.

An official statement has not yet been made but has been announced on the official website.

“The forums have been re-opened. Please play nice and expect statements from the band and family later today. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Guru is currently being treated at a New York hospital.

The 43 year old rapper released his first album, called No More Mr. Nice Guy, with Gang Starr in 1989 and has also released numerous solo albums and collaborated with many artists within broad genres of music.
