Peter Steele, Type O Negative

Yet another musician has now unfortunately left us. Reports say that the metal band Type O Negative‘s frontman Peter Steele has died of heart failure at age 48.

Type O Negative released their debut album Slow Deep and Hard on Road Road Racer records in 1991. The band’s latest release, Dead Again, hit the stores in 2007.

An official statement has not yet been made but has been announced on the official website.

“The forums have been re-opened. Please play nice and expect statements from the band and family later today. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
